Being a parent and especially being stay-at-home mother or father is a full-time job. Any mother or father can bear witness to that fact. And it is not easy to this job well. We become nearly everything: accountants, early childhood educators, teachers, child psychologists, nutritionists , and cooks all in one person without pay, benefits, or holidays. Who said being a stay-at-home mom or dad is easy?
Parenting is not easy. It takes a lot of effort to raise a child properly. We can raise succsesful and emotionally mature people as a gift to the society; or we can create a problem in a society by releasing to it immature and very hurt people who fail because their character was never developed properly.
Now, I admire the women who do this and also have a full-time carrer on their hands. They have two full-time jobs! Not every woman can handle both well. I'm one of them, so I chose to be a stay at home mom for a time. That's why women who work outside their family home should never judge the one who decides to stay at home and vice versa.
All parents want the best for their children and have the right to choose how they are going to raise them. If a parent wants to stay at home full time to care for their child/children, they should be able to do so without condemnation or ridicule from the society as they often sacrifice their own career and personal wants to raise the children who will become a blessing to the society. They should be applauded for their commitment, not put down for doing it.
That is why I created this blog, to support and encourage all stay-at-home parents out there. Take courage. You are not alone and your hard work will pay off eventually in ways no money can buy.
