Precious Moments

There is nothing more fulfilling than feeling a gentle kiss of my child on my cheeks every morning, or having her come up on my lap and say, " I love you Mommy, you are the best in the world", with her beautiful smile on her cute face, and say it without any particular reason.

It just melts my heart and makes me forget all the difficulties of working at home full-time. The greatest thing about it is that I enjoy so many of these moments each day. The depth of relationship we create by spending so much time with our children is one of the greatest rewards of stay-at-home lifestyle and of motherhood in general.

So, if you are having desire to become a stay-at-home Mom, but have second thoughts because of financial reasons or societal pressure, go with your heart anyway.

My husband and I have lived on one income for nearly 15 years now and sometimes life was tough, but we would do it all over again. We learned through those years how to manage what we have better and our present and future prosperity is tied to this very fact. We are now one of a very few families that does not have any debt.

We are living very comfortably on one income and when the kids grow up and I go back to work in the future, my income will be a bonus that we will be able to invest in our future. This is a great place to be.

All the while developing great relationships with our kids and each other over the years and because of the wealth of precious moments that we gained by choosing a path that was more difficult in some ways, but so much more rewarding.

  1. Aw, gee! I AM a kid, so it helps to read stuff like this when I feel like my parents don't appreciate me. :)
